Anxiety
Worry is part of being human. But when it starts making your decisions for you — what you avoid, how you sleep, how tightly you hold everything — it's taking up more room than it deserves.
How it might be showing up
- —Racing thoughts, especially at bedtime
- —"What if" loops that are hard to switch off
- —Avoiding places, people, or activities you used to enjoy
- —Stomachaches, headaches, or tension with no clear medical cause
- —Irritability or a shorter fuse than usual
How counseling helps
Counseling starts by making the anxiety understandable — what triggers it, what it's trying to protect you from, and why it snowballs. Naming it clearly takes away much of its power.
From there, you'll build practical tools: ways to calm your body in the moment, reframe the thoughts that fuel the spiral, and gradually reclaim the things anxiety has talked you out of. For kids and teens, I translate all of this into language and practice that fits their age — and give parents tools too.
Worry less. Live more.
The first conversation is free of pressure — just a chance to see if it’s a good fit.
