Our Services

Our services are geared toward all ages and range from individuals to couples and families.

Children & Adolescents

When children and adolescents struggle and don't know how or aren't able to ask for help, challenges may start to present themselves. If you see a difference in your child's behavior or notice a new behavior, it might be time to seek help.

Events like divorce, a death in the family, etc. can be the source of challenges, but not always. Even in stable, loving households, children and adolescents can start to show emotional struggles.

During counseling, your child will learn to identify their emotions and challenges, cope with them positively and ask for help when needed.

Counseling can also help set the stage for balanced mental health throughout their life.

Adults

There are many reasons someone might seek help for their mental well-being, and none of them are invalid or too small.

Some more common reasons are:
Anxiety
Stress
Depression
A life-changing event (a divorce, a death, losing your job, or even marriage)
A less common indicator is if you've developed a new potentially troubling habit (over or under-eating, sleeping less, etc.).

Feeling like you need help is reason enough to speak with a counselor.

Counseling offers a safe environment where we can work together. If the root cause is unknown, we will start there so that it can be treated and managed rather than just your symptoms. You will have the opportunity to build healthy coping skills and learn more about yourself.

Couples/marriage

Couples counseling is sometimes thought of as a last resort. Still, it can also be a preventative measure, strengthening your relationship, and a strategy to work through a challenge.

• Here are just some scenarios couples counseling can be beneficial:
• Frequent arguments
• Trust has been broken (infidelity, deception about money, etc.)
• Poor communication or conflict management
• You want to discuss something difficult
• A devastating event (losing a baby or a parent, a health crisis, etc.)
• Intimacy concerns

Even when one or both parties feel like something is off, seeking counseling can be beneficial. Counseling offers a safe and unbiased environment for you to learn, discuss, and work through issues.

Families

Families come in all shapes and sizes, each member bringing value to the whole. Being a part of a family should hopefully foster support and love and offer a haven. It can also be a source of stress, bleeding into areas outside of family life.

Whether one family member seems to be a source of tension and unease, the family has gone through a difficult time, or everyone feels disconnected, family counseling can help get you back on track.

Here are some situations or reasons to seek out family counseling:

• Changes in a family member’s behavior
• Changes within the family structure
• Addiction
• Mental illness
• A traumatic event (such as a death or divorce)
• Poor communication
• Blending families

Getting the whole family in one session cannot be easy, so we will work together to make it as easy as possible and ensure all that need help get it.

Let's Talk

The first step in therapy is talking. Let's find the time when we can meet and talk about what's on your mind.
